Education of an Astronomer

Information found on The Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Most jobs in astronomy require a PhD in physics and astronomy. Others require both a PhD and a Doctor's degree. These two college educations will come in handy while finding a job in this field. Degree's like Master's or Bachelor's might come in handy for teaching jobs, but not higher level ones. To get these educations, many astronomers go to college's in Arizona, California, and Massachusetts.
